this modern Japanese restaurant comprises Melbourne's first plant-based sushi train on street level (to see) and fine dining on the first floor (to be seen). The design response places an emphasis on the suburban context through its energetic and transparent facade. The interior colour tone is intended to be shadow-free, therefore, distinguishing itself from the streetscape
generally during the day, those inside can see out, while those outside cannot see in. The restaurant transforms as the light enters the interior while the ceiling disintegrates into an airy, enigmatic substance; half-matter and half-atmospheric
