Fortune Alley Swanston Street

taking advantage of the site’s long and narrow shopfront, the aim was to build a strong street presence along the busy and pedestrian-heavy Swanston Street. The proximity of the bold and elongated counter to the footpath creates an immediate engagement with pedestrians whilst utilising its curve to guide customers into the space. To create continuity with the existing streetscape, floor tiles were rearranged to emulate the bluestone footpath while matte and polished surfaces were used to reimagine a new alleyway along Swanston Street
